- Multimedia sand
Multimedia sand is usually filtered using three layers of media: anthracite, sand and garnet. Because of their obvious differences in density, these media are often chosen for multi-media filters. Anthracite is the lightest filter medium per unit volume, followed by sand, and then garnet.
The idea of using media of different quality is that during the backwashing process, the lightest media with the largest particles (anthracite) will naturally layer on the top of the filter, while the medium-sized media (sand) will settle in the middle and the heaviest The smallest particles of the medium (garnet) will settle to the bottom.
Multimedia sands are arranged in order of decreasing pores. Due to the multi-layer design, the multimedia water filter can capture and retain much larger particles than traditional sand filters before backwashing is required. The filtration process produces high-quality filtered water with a flow rate much faster than traditional sand filtration.
- Metal woven mesh filter cartridge
The media of this type of filter cartridge is woven by metal wires on the loom, which can form a very stable but flexible filter media. The material can be made of wires of different thicknesses or woven into different patterns according to specific applications.

- Wedge wire sieve filters
The wedge-shaped steel wire screen cylinder can be designed with slots and radially extending wires on the outer surface of the screen cylinder (upper), or it can be located axially on the inner side of the screen cylinder (lower).
Each intersection of the wedge wire and the support rod is welded to improve strength and durability.
