Porous Sintered Metal Filter is a depth-based sintered products element. It removes the particle through capturing particles and placing them in the filter medium structure. It statically presses the metal powder in the flexible molds with specific shapes. The size of the removal particle is adjusted by changing the compaction pressure or/and the particle size of the powder. The next step is sintering, which is conducted at the temperature below the melting point through the diffusion bonding of powder metal particles. After sintering, the original powder particle is replaced by a fully connected sintered filter with the porous metal structure. This process control determines the micron class of the filtration medium, Also the sintered medium is always described by its porosity. The configurations of these porous metal filters are determined by the detailed requirements of your system.
The filter medium of the sintered metal filter can be all kinds of alloys, where the most common alloy is 316. Other grades of stainless steel alloys also can be used for production, such as chromium-nickel-iron alloys, Hartz alloy, and Monel alloy, etc., each of which has its specific characteristic and applied purpose. The filter elements flexibly deployed by different sizes, shapes, and components can meet the characteristics and configurations customers required.

The sintered porous metal filter elements are mostly used in the low flow system, are mainly used for gas filtration. When hydraulic oil or viscous flow goes across this filter, the pressure drop is obviously higher. It can be used at the temperature up to 580℃（1,076ºF）according to the process conditions.
